Clinton Twp KKids Tech Coordinator

Campus: Clinton Township

Manage and oversee technical functions for all KKids activities, including weekend services and other ministry special events, such as training and volunteer appreciation.  Work with the KKids tech team to ensure all KKids technical needs are met in ways that align with overall strategies of Kensington.  Stay up-to-date on new technologies that will support and enhance the KKids program. 

Recruit, train and shepherd volunteers to serve in technical roles in KKids.  Build teams to provide set-up, support, operation and tear-down of technical equipment.

Closely partner with KKids Creative Program Director to integrate tech into Large Group.

Clinton KKids K-1 Elementary Coordinator

Campus: Clinton Township

Coordinate and oversee all functions of Kensington Kids Kindergarten and 1st Grade small groups at Clinton Twp. Campus. Direct, develop, support and shepherd Small Group Leaders. Ensure that small groups are running smoothly, that small group objectives are met, and that relationships are forming.

Clinton Twp KKids Nursery Coordinator

Experience: Hands-on experience with infants and young toddlers; experience in recruiting, leading and shepherding a team or small group. 
Requirements: Ability to manage multiple tasks, enjoy infants and young children, administrative skills, ability to lead teams of adults and youth helpers, gift of shepherding, skilled at team building; gifts of service, shepherding, encouragement helpful. Recruit, train, support and shepherd volunteer caregivers.  Ensure that the Nursery policies and procedures are clearly communicated to weekend volunteers.  Provide feedback and meet individually with volunteers as necessary.  Pray for and with volunteers.  Help build community between volunteers by encouraging them to pray for one another.

Oversee the Nursery for the weekend services.  Schedule volunteer caregivers for the weekend services and provide reminder calls, emails or letters as appropriate.  Monitor caregivers to ensure excellence of care.  Perform set up and teardown of Nursery room(s) and ensure that volunteers have the supplies and equipment necessary to meet the needs of the children at each service.

Participate in volunteer development and recognition opportunities.

Must be available to work Sunday's at Clinton Township Campus.

Responsible for the execution of the campus weekend services, and all other high-profile campus events.  Recruit teams to accomplish all artistic needs for each event.  Work closely with other campus arts directors to develop strategies for artistic, spiritual, and organizational development. Highly skilled worship leader in the style of Passion City Church, Northpoint, Elevation, Hillsong, Bethel, etc. Proficiency on at least one musical instrument. Strong vocal ability. Proven leader, team builder and people developer. “Nice to have” skills: Proficiency in Planning Center Online. Past success in managing and leading employees. Proficiency with Photoshop and Google Docs. A STRONG work ethic, positive attitude and “get it done” mindset.

Develop worship leaders that match the style and quality expectations of Kensington.

Lead worship regularly on weekends. Become the face of worship at the Campus.

Develop cohesive bands each week with stage presence and the skill necessary to lead the church toward powerful worship moments.

Develop large group teachers, create set design and environment, and integrate technology.

Responsibilities: 
Recruit, train and shepherd team of Small Group leaders for weekend services. Provide them with weekly curriculum and work alongside them. Encourage, have conversations with, pray for, send recognitions to, meet one on one for interviews, challenge them spiritually, and ensure that there’s spiritual care and accountability.

Evaluate the effectiveness of small groups by monitoring the interaction of the group and providing feedback to the leaders.  Ensure that the curriculum is understood and implemented. Email leaders weekly for connection and curriculum updates.  Place children into groups or remove them as needed throughout the year. Follow up with phone calls if child has missed four consecutive weeks. Keep Arena updated with groups and leaders. Ensure small group rooms are set-up and torn-down. Be a good steward of resources.

Develop, train, and encourage existing volunteer teachers, and recruit new ones for Large Group lesson. Observe volunteer teachers and offer feedback. Build teams to help with set design and create irresistible environments. Prepare props, characters, videos,  and tech needed for large group lesson.

Participate in all required staff meetings which include:  one on one meetings with KKids director, age-aligned meetings (will interface with curriculum manager regarding small group activities), KKids campus team meetings, KKids all-staff meetings, and KCC all-staff meetings.

Participate in volunteer development and recognition opportunities as determined by own initiative as well as opportunities set as KKids departmental objectives (e.g. volunteer training night, volunteer celebration, campus events, leadership development events).

Assume any other duties or responsibilities as directed by KKids director (e.g. Christmas, Easter, & summer programming)

Preschool Teacher

Under the direction of the Preschool Director, develop, design, direct, and support Kensington Kids weekday Preschool Programs.

 Education:   College degree in an early childhood related field required. Certified in infant, child, and adult CPR and first aid

 Experience:  Teaching preschool or elementary age children with a proven Biblical knowledge and ability to present Biblical truths at child and adult levels.

 Requirements:  Affirmation of the mission, values and beliefs of Kensington.  Must meet all state regulations and requirements.

 Plan, prepare and teach lessons in Weekday preschool classes, as assigned. Organize the classroom environment, to meet the needs of the students.  Provide weekly written communication to parents; use appropriate assessment to track progress of each child; keep Kensington Kids director informed of discipline, health, safety and payment issues as they arise.

Train and oversee, spiritually care, disciple, exhort, and encourage classroom aide, to ensure commitment to the mission, vision and values of Kensington Kids, and of the Kensington Community Church Preschool; understand and adhere to policies and procedures of KC Preschool. Model punctuality and attendance to other Preschool employees. Support and maintain teamwork with all preschool team members.

Assist Director in the planning of fieldtrips, class parties, and family events, ensuring that all such events support curriculum and vision and values for the KC Preschool.  Assist Director in planning and attend all Preschool Open Houses as scheduled, as well as any other community events which will promote a positive image and success of KC Preschool.

Effectively promote the KC Preschool program in church and community. Interface with all KCC and Kensington Kids teams as required. Keep parents and KCC staff updated as to developments and progress of preschool program.

Attend monthly meetings with classroom aide and Director.  Attend one-on-one with Preschool Director and KCC all-staffs.

Kensington Staff Childcare Provider

Campus: Troy

We are looking for people who love Jesus and have a desire to serve children.  These positions would be caring for the children of our Kensington Kid Care ministry (Birth to pre-K)

Availability Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between the hours of 8:30-4:30.

Experience with child care centers a plus. Basic knowledge of feeding, diapering, and leading children’s activities. Affirmation of Kensington’s mission, vision and values is a must.

Strengths: conflict resolution between children, positive outlook, reliable, able to multi task and work in a fast paced environment. We value reliability and responsibility.

Willingness to get CPR certification, current certification a plus.

Duties: To arrive on time and complete all scheduled shifts. To discipline according to our discipline policy. To provide our children with great care and attention at all times. Clinton Twp KKids Early Childhood Creative Teacher

Campus: Clinton Township

Directs, develops and leads Early Childhood teaching team at the Clinton Township Campus.  This person is responsible for executing the Large Group segment of the KKids Early Childhood weekend program.  Work closely with volunteer co-teachers, actors, tech team and curriculum team to execute early childhood large group. Experience teaching and/or leading EC children in local church or para-church organization with proven ability to lead and develop volunteers, build teams and deliver large group experience appropriate for children. You must be available to work Sundays at the campus and attend Wednesday meetings in the office.




Troy Facilities Coordinator

Campus: Troy

Keep the building in clean and orderly condition.  Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, deep cleaning of bathrooms, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.  Set up meeting rooms with tables and chairs which includes moving heavy furniture.  Duties may include tending to HVAC, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from walkways.  Duties may also include leading and directing workers assigned to the Facilities Department.  Must have and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license. Maintain good working relationship and attitude with co-workers, staff, volunteers and guests. Must have flexibility and be available to work nights and weekends.
Education: Associates degree preferred or high school diploma. Experience/Expectations:  General knowledge of building custodian/housekeeping work and related equipment; interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills; ability to operate, care for and perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment used in daily work; some ability in simple record keeping.
