What You Need To Know

Our goal is to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment where kids ages nursery through 5 th grade can grow spiritually, develop quality values and make lasting friendships. Warm, caring leaders create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where each weekend over 1,400 children discover the difference Jesus can make.

While you’re attending adult services, your children are learning to experience God at their own level in one of five kid-friendly locations.

Our Values

Children Matter To God

Children are created in the image of God. They are special to Him and need to be accepted and loved at all times.

Children Need A Scriptural Foundation

Entering into a relationship with Jesus Christ is a process-oriented experience. We will lay a spiritual foundation of understanding so that when the Holy Spirit begins to move in the heart of children, they will be prepared to make an informed decision about accepting Jesus as their Savior.

Children Need Loving Relationships

Relationship building is an important aspect of ministry to children. We want to build meaningful relationships through which spiritual information is communicated in a loving and caring way.

Children Need Age-Appropriate Applications

The message of Jesus Christ must be presented to children in relevant, age-specific ways. We are dedicated to showing children how the principles of God’s Word can be applied to their own daily lives.

Children Need Creativity And Fun

God created children with creative imaginations, a variety of learning styles, and a desire to have fun. We will present the truth of God’s Word through methods which are consistent with how children are created to think and learn.

Safety and Security

A Secure Environment

For the protection of our precious children, Treasure Island has security volunteers stationed on both floors. Before you can enter the children’s wing, two tags be obtained from the welcome center. One tag is a nametag for the child to wear; the other is a numbered tag for you to keep as a pick-up tag. If a child needs a parent during the service, the number on the parent tag will flash in the auditorium.

All of the volunteers in Treasure Island have been trained on specific bathroom and diaper changing policies as well as emergency procedures. Volunteers are screened through background checks, reference checks and interviews with Treasure Island staff.

A Healthy Environment

Treasure Island has an Infection Control Policy in place to minimize the spread of infectious diseases and ensure the health and safety of all children and caregivers. Children with fevers, green runny noses, or noticeable infections will be asked not to participate in the program that morning. Parents will be offered a tape of the service.

There are first-aid kits placed throughout the Treasure Island area in case they are needed. Parents are always notified of any incident requiring first aid.
